Racing our Beneteau First 35 "Rebellion"
About Brût Sailing
Since 2007 Brût Sailing has competed in regional sailing competitions, first with the "Brût", a 1979 Baltic 37 based in the Netherlands, and during 2009 and 2010 with its kid sister, a 1990 Beneteau Figaro Solo 'training and mess about' boat, "Tigre".
While building a competitive team, the crew enjoyed sailing Brût and Tigre outside of competitions, and regularly used Brût as a training boat for friends and colleagues. The team has continued to grow and improve, securing wins and strong results in offshore, inshore, and shorthanded competitions.
In September, 2010 Brût Sailing took delivery on a new Beneteau First 35, "Rebellion", which has replaced the venerable and beloved Brût and Tigre and serve as a single boat for crewed and shorthanded competitions. The boat is "IRC Optimized" and carries ratings in both IRC and ORC, and will be entered in offshore competitons including the RORC Vuurtoren/North Sea Race and Fastnet, the Netherlands IRC competition (Stellendam, North Sea Regatta, Breskens Week), and shorthanded events including the 50 Mijl and Ronde om Noord-Holland.
